Cigarettes produce tar - IQOS ILUMA doesn’t. Tar is the residue from smoke after a cigarette is burned.
IQOS ILUMA does not produce tar because it heats tobacco instead of burning it. It generates an aerosol residue that is fundamentally different from tar and consists of significantly lower levels of harmful chemicals.* Switching completely to IQOS ILUMA is less harmful than continuing to smoke.**

TEREA sticks do have a smell. The precise aroma of a TEREA can vary depending on the flavour you’ve chosen. IQOS ILUMA produces less smell than cigarettes* , though. In fact, IQOS ILUMA generates no cigarette smoke smell. Additionally, IQOS ILUMA leaves less smell on furniture and fabric than cigarettes.** As IQOS ILUMA produces less smell than cigarettes, it is less likely to bother people around you*** too.

You can use TEREA sticks with any of the IQOS ILUMA devices. This includes IQOS ILUMA, IQOS ILUMA ONE and IQOS ILUMA PRIME. As TEREA can only be used with IQOS ILUMA devices, you shouldn’t try to use these sticks in older IQOS device generations.
