Starting the IQOS ILUMA PRIME Device

STEP 1: Fully charge your device

Before first use, fully charge your device with Power Adaptor and Charging Cable (approximately 135 minutes). Tap the button on your IQOS ILUMA PRIME Pocket Charger to check your battery level. If the level is low, then charge the Pocket Charger with the IQOS power adaptor.

STEP 2: Turn on your device

By pressing the button at the top of your Pocket Charger for four seconds you can turn the device ON/OFF. Then check the status lights on your IQOS ILUMA PRIME Holder to see how many experiences you have.

  • Two lights mean it’s fully charged (ready for two uses).
  • One light means it’s ready for one use.
  • No lights mean the Holder needs to be charged in the Pocket Charger.

STEP 3: Insert TEREA stick to activate Autostart

Gently insert a TEREA stick which activates the Autostart. Make sure you only use TEREA sticks with your IQOS ILUMA PRIME. They are single use so ensure you do not reinsert a used one.

If the Autostart is disabled, you can press the button on the Holder to start the experience.

  • One vibration and lights pulsing slowly means it’s heating up the TEREA stick.
  • Two vibrations and light(s) ON means it is ready for use.

Autostart

Your IQOS ILUMA PRIME Holder starts preheating automatically after you insert a TEREA stick. This feature is available by default.

Using the IQOS ILUMA PRIME Device

When you feel another two vibrations, your IQOS time is nearly up (30 sec or 2 puffs remaining). Simply remove the TEREA stick and remember to use a new stick for your next experience. Remember that one light means you only have one experience left, so you'll need to charge the Holder in the Pocket Charger after your next experience.

When your Holder is in the Pocket Charger there are two round lights that indicate the status of the Holder.

  • When the round lights are pulsing white, this means the Holder is getting charged.
  • One or two solid round lights on the Pocket Charger indicates how many experiences you have readily available.

Lift up

Lifting up the Holder when you are not in an experience will show how many uses are left, by displaying one or two lights.

Double tap

Simply double tap your Holder during the use and the holder will vibrate to indicate how much of the experience is left:

  • 3 vibrations: 75-50%
  • 2 vibrations: 50-25%
  • 1 vibration: < 25%

You can simply enable/disable the smart gestures through the IQOS Web App and you can also tune certain parameters such as light intensity and vibrations.

Place the Holder in the Pocket Charger and reset it by pressing the Pocket Charger’s button for 10 seconds. Keep the button pressed until you see all the lights dim out. The RESET will be confirmed by all the lights briefly blinking white.

  • Make sure the TEREA stick wasn’t accidentally used twice. Or check that it’s not just an individual TEREA stick that isn’t fitting properly. Isolated cases of TEREA sticks not fitting occur very infrequently and it’s almost never caused by fault in the device.
  • Ensure the TEREA stick was inserted correctly as per the user guide instructions.
  • TEREA packs should not be stored in an environment which is too humid or too dry. Doing so can have an effect on the aerosol quality.
