Find step by step solution to any device issue.

STEP 1: Fully charge your device

Before first use, fully charge your device for approx. 1 hours and 30 minutes following the enclosed Safety Warning & Instructions.

STEP 2: Turn on your device

Press and hold the ON/OFF button of your device for 4 seconds and then release; Your device Status Lights will turn ON slowly.

STEP 3: Insert TEREA stick to activate Autostart

Slide to open the cap. Gently insert a TEREA stick up to the filter line until Holder vibrates and lights pulses. Make sure you only use TEREA sticks with your IQOS ILUMA i. They are single use so ensure you do not reinsert a used one.
Preheating happens automatically after 1st vibration or by pressing the button for 1 second. The device is ready to use after the 2nd vibration.
During use, the Status lights will indicate the remaining time of your experiences. When the device vibrates and the light flash, you have 2 last puffs or 30sec left.

Lights on device on short button press, but unable to charge?

Are the lights ON, but the device is not charging? Then the charging ports might need to be cleaned.

1. Unplug the device and ensure the charging ports on both the device and the charging cable are dry and clean from contamination.
2. Charge your device by using compatible AC power adaptor and cable for approx. 1 hours and 30 minutes, for full charge.

4 lights will turn solid white and then turn off when it is fully charged. If the device is fully discharged, the light might take few seconds before turning ON.

3. In case the lights on the device are on, but unable still to charge, try to perform a reset.

Press and hold down the ON/OFF button on the device for 10 seconds continuously. RESET is confirmed when status lights fade in, blink twice fast, ramp up and then the current device charge level will be shown.

FlexPuff is a smart feature that can be managed in the IQOS WebApp (it is activated by default on new device) and may extend your experience duration based on your usage pattern still within up to 6 minutes.
Your device will automatically analyze the consumed volume of aerosol and might activate FlexPuff.
If Flexpuff will be activated, then you will be granted with 4 extra puffs, that can be used within the remainder of the 6min.
FlexPuff is designed to work with tobacco sticks. Activation and number of puffs depend on individual usage patterns, thus extended experience might not apply to all adult consumers and/or experiences. FlexPuff does not activate when pause is used.
The Light Guide will indicate once you have the additional puffs available.
Ensure pause mode is not activated during the experience as this would prevent FlexPuff from being triggered.

Plug the AC Power Adaptor (sold separately) and cable to your device and then to a wall power outlet for 1 hour and 30 min for full charge.
During charging, the strip lights on the device will pulse.
If your device is fully discharged, the first light may take a few seconds to start blinking yellow. Once the device goes over 7% of charge, the color of the blinking light will change from yellow to white.
