What Should I Do If I Have an Issue On IQOS ILUMA i Pause Mode Feature?

Pause Mode feature on IQOS ILUMA i™ device is only available in 1 out of 2 consecutive experiences in Performance Mode, ensure that pause is available when you tried to activate it.

What Should I Do If I Have an Issue on Activating and Deactivating Pause Mode?

  • Ensure you swipe lightly with your fingertip along the entire Touch Screen, edge to edge, from top of the Touch Screen to the bottom to activate the pause and from bottom of the Touch Screen to deactivate the pause/start experience (swipe up).
  • Make sure that the swipe gesture is quick (a movement slower than 0.5 seconds is not recognized as a swipe gesture).
  • If swiping does not work when holding a device in one hand and using a thumb, try holding a device in one hand and using index finger from another hand for swiping gesture.

Why Pause Mode Doesn’t Work Optimally?

There are several factors that can cause the Pause Mode feature on your IQOS ILUMA i device to not work optimally, such as:

1. Incorrect manipulation

Open the IQOS web and ensure Performance Mode and Pause are turned ON. Activated Pause Mode is illustrated by 2 short vertical lines at the top of the Touch Screen and is activated by swiping down across the entire Touch Screen on the device Holder.

2. Pause is already used

Pause Mode is only available for one of the first two experiences delivered by a fully charged Holder (Performance Mode).

3. Eco Mode activated

Your device has Pause Mode available only in Performance Mode (FlexBattery feature). Pause Mode is not available in Eco Mode. To enable Pause Mode feature, change your FlexBattery feature from Eco Mode to Performance Mode via IQOS web.

 4. Too late in the experience

Pause Mode is only available within the first 3 minutes or 8 puffs of the experience. If you try to active the Pause Mode outside this range, it will not be available.

5. Right gesture

The right gesture to activate Pause Mode is to swipe across the entire Touch Screen. This was done to avoid unintentional activation of Pause Mode.
