What is the difference between IQOS heated tobacco products and vape products?
Even though both are alternative cigarette products, IQOS and vape are two different things.
What's the Difference Between IQOS and Vape? Here are the differences:
1. Technology
IQOS falls into the category of tobacco products without smoke or tobacco heating. This product uses an innovative heating system called HeatControl™. Using this technology, IQOS only heats the tobacco instead of burning it. In comparison, a vape - or what is also known as an electronic cigarette - works by heating and then vaporizing nicotine liquid or vaping liquid.
2. Tobacco
IQOS uses real tobacco leaves that are harvested, specially processed, and compressed into tobacco sticks called HEETS. Tobacco sticks are heated to 350°C without burning them to bring out the taste of the tobacco. However, that doesn't mean HEETS isn't risk-free. Tobacco contains natural nicotine which causes dependence. Whereas in vape, vape does not use real tobacco but vaping liquid in various flavors, and does not necessarily contain nicotine.
3. Taste & Use
IQOS provides the original taste of tobacco. HEETS is designed to last about 14 puffs, which is about the same as the time you spend on a cigarette. Vape offers a different experience than smoking because of the use of vaping fluids.
4. Product Variation
Currently, there are several IQOS devices that you can own - such as the IQOS 3 DUOS, IQOS 3 Multi, IQOS 2.4 PLUS. Some IQOS devices have separate holders and pocket chargers, while others have integrated devices as all-in-one devices. These variations exist to meet the needs of different lifestyles.
