Do You Know the Difference Between the ILUMA i ONE, ILUMA i, and ILUMA i Prime?

The ILUMA i series is the latest range of tobacco heating devices from IQOS, offering features never seen before. There are three types of ILUMA i devices: the ILUMA i ONE, ILUMA i, and ILUMA i Prime. 

These three latest IQOS devices use SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM technology, which heats the TEREA tobacco stick from the inside, rather than burning it and produces vapor (aerosol) instead of smoke. By eliminating the combustion process, the ILUMA i is smoke-free, ash-free, and produces fewer odors. 

ILUMA i produces 95% lower levels of harmful chemicals compared to cigarette smoke.* 

Important information: This does not necessarily equal a 95% reduction in risk. ILUMA i is not risk-free.

Unlike previous generations, each ILUMA i series device includes new features for a more flexible tobacco experience that adapts to your pace, such as Pause Mode, FlexBattery, FlexPuff, and a Touch Screen. 

So, what are the differences between the ILUMA i ONE, ILUMA i, and ILUMA i Prime? 

ILUMA i ONE

For those who prefer practicality and portability for traveling, the ILUMA i ONE could be the perfect choice. This latest tobacco heating device from IQOS features an all-in-one design that combines the Holder and Pocket Charger into a single device. 

On a full charge, the ILUMA i ONE can be used for up to 20 consecutive uses. A single tobacco experience can produce 14 to 18 puffs, with the FlexPuff feature adding 4 additional puffs**. This device also features an Auto Start and Auto Stop feature that automatically starts and ends heating. 

**FlexPuff activation and puff count depend on individual usage, so additional puffs may not apply to all adults and/or experienced users. FlexPuff is not active when paused. 

There are four color variants available for the ILUMA i ONE: Breeze Blue, Leaf Green, Digital Violet, and Midnight Black. 

ILUMA i

The ILUMA i device is a great choice for those who value modern features and design. This device consists of a Holder and Pocket Charger, available in five color variants: Breeze Blue, Leaf Green, Vivid Terracotta, Digital Violet, and Midnight Black. 

The ILUMA i tobacco heater is also equipped with features such as Pause Mode, which allows up to 8 minutes of use***, FlexPuff, which provides 4 additional puffs*, two battery modes on the FlexBattery, and a touchscreen that provides more detailed information on your experience, such as heating status, remaining time, and remaining usage. 

*FlexPuff activation and puff count depend on individual usage, so additional puffs may not apply to all adults and/or experienced users. FlexPuff is not active when paused. 

***Only available in Performance Mode, for the first 3 minutes or the first 8 puffs of the tobacco experience.

ILUMA i Prime

Like the ILUMA i, the ILUMA i Prime also has four new features: Pause Mode, FlexPuff, FlexBattery, and Touch Screen. You can manage these features through the IQOS Web App and ensure your device is connected to your IQOS account. 

However, unlike the ILUMA i, the ILUMA i Prime uses a Wrap to cover the device and protect the Holder. This premium device from the ILUMA i series is available in four colors: Breeze Blue, Aspen Green, Garnet Red, and Midnight Black.
