Unlike IQOS ILUMA ONE, IQOS ILUMATM consists of two parts: the Pocket Charger and the Holder. This system allows you to use your holder twice in a row without charging. In addition, IQOS ILUMATM utilizes our intelligent auto start/stop function. By inserting the TEREA stick, the device starts heating automatically, when removing the stick, the device switches off (again, automatically).

IQOS ILUMATM devices are designed to be used only with TEREA sticksTM.
There is no heating element to heat your HEETSTM stick with IQOS ILUMATM. An IQOS ILUMATM device can only be activated by a TEREA tobacco stick so it will not start if anything other than a TEREA stick is inserted. With the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEMTM technology, there is no blade in the Holder but instead a metal heating element is placed inside the TEREA stick.
Your experience with IQOS ILUMATM with TEREA sticksTM lasts up to 6 mins or 14 puffs, whichever comes first. While the device offers up to 20 uses per full charge, fewer uses are not unusual and do not necessarily mean the device is faulty in any way.
