IQOS 3rd ANNIVERSARY: SPECIAL CARE OFFER
Terms & Conditions

I. GENERAL

1. The IQOS 3rd Anniversary Device Special Care Offer with details provided in Sections II and III below (“Program”) is open to legal age smokers or users of other nicotine-containing products who are at least 18 years old (as of the date of his/her participation in the Program) and above residing in the Philippines (“Customer”), and who otherwise wish to continue to use tobacco or nicotine containing products. 

2. The Program is offered in all IQOS Stores (physical). IQOS Stores are operated by ActivAsia Inc. (or "AAI"), the authorized distributor of PMFTC products sold in the IQOS Stores. This Program is being carried out by AAI as an authorized distributor of PMFTC products.

3. The program period of the IQOS 3rd Anniversary Device Special Care Offer starts on June 19, 2023 until July 31, 2023. PMFTC/AAI has the sole discretion to shorten or extend the program period if circumstances so warrant.

4. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to modify, change, or revise the rules and mechanics of the Program.

5. Customers using multiple IQOS.com accounts to participate in the Program are disqualified. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to disqualify any Customer if there is any evidence of fraud or irregularities in his/her participation in the Program.

6. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to hold, suspend or block a Customer’s IQOS.com account due to suspicious, fraudulent or illegal activity.

7. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke these terms and conditions without notice in the event of fraudulent activity, cheating, a security breach or any anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, an event or disturbance outside of PMFTC’s control such as acts of God, civil or military events, catastrophes, technical issues/connectivity, pandemic or war. Any changes to the Offer will be announced accordingly.

9. By participating in the Program, Customer confirms his/her consent to process his/her personal data provided as part of the Program. Details of such processing are described in Philip Morris International’s (PMI) Consumer Privacy Notice found at https://www.pmiprivacy.com/en/consumer and AAI’s Data Privacy Consent Policy.

II. MECHANICS 

1. Customers who have a linked IQOS device in their IQOS account is eligible to participate in the IQOS 3rd Anniversary Device Special Care Offer. The following are the IQOS Devices eligible for this IQOS 3rd Anniversary Device Special Care Offer: IQOS 2.4 Plus, IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 3 MULTI. The Offer does not include or cover the following IQOS Devices: IQOS Originals DUO, IQOS Originals One and BONDS by IQOS.

2. The IQOS 3rd Anniversary Device Special Care Offer provides eligible Customers the following:

i. Device Care Diagnosis: when the Customer visits any IQOS Stores (physical). During their visit, Customers can have their IQOS device assessed free of charge on the following services: firmware upgrade, troubleshooting, cleaning & parts replacement. Parts replacement is limited to IQOS Caps (accessory) replacement free of charge and subject to the provisions of the IQOS Accidental Damages Coverage. 

ii. During the Device Care Diagnosis, the Customer may also avail of the following: 

1. Device Warranty Extension: Functioning device with an expired warranty on or before June 19, 2023 is eligible for a warranty extension until Sept. 30, 2023. 

2. Device Replacement:

 a. Non-functioning device that is still under warranty from June 19, 2023 onwards is eligible for an IQOS ORIGINALS device replacement. Device replacement is subject standard device diagnosis performed by the authorized AAI representative at the IQOS Stores (physical). Non-functioning device is not eligible for device placement if it does not adhere to the IQOS Accidental Damages Coverage provisions are as follows: the damage does not impact the functionality of the device & are only of cosmetic in nature (scratches, dents, wear of external color, etc.), device that have been opened, serviced, modified or altered in a manner not authorized by Philip Morris, damage was caused by attempted modification or alteration of the device (customization) and malfunction due to use with non-compatible products.

Device replacement offer:

Existing IQOS Device = Device Replacement

• IQOS 2.4 Plus / 3 DUO = IQOS ORIGINALS DUO
• IQOS MULTI = IQOS ORIGINALS ONE

The new, replaced device will inherit the warranty of the defective device.

Example:
Old Defective Device: Warranty start date: Jan 1, 2023. End of Warranty Date: Jan 1, 2024
New, Replaced Device: Replaced on June 1, 2023. End of Warranty Date: Jan 1, 2024

 b. Non-functioning device that has an expired warranty on or before June 19, 2023 is eligible for a Php 500 voucher code (Takeback500) thru the ongoing Device Take Back Program (Device Takeback Program Terms & Conditions | IQOS Philippines). The Device Takeback Program is a recycling initiative that allows the Customer to dispose used IQOS devices responsibly at selected participating IQOS stores. The recycling program will turn old IQOS devices into raw materials that will be converted into sustainable products. 

3. For Customers who is eligible to avail of the Device Replacement: 

i. The non-functioning device to be returned should be linked to the Customer’s IQOS.com account and should have the complete IQOS device kit (pocket charger & holder), genuine and not counterfeit.

ii. The Customer agrees and understands that participation requires the delinking of the surrendered IQOS device from the Customer’s IQOS.com account.

iii. The Customer agrees & understands that participation requires that their old, used IQOS device needs to be surrendered. The surrendered IQOS device will form part of the Device Takeback Program. The program is a recycling initiative that allows the Customer to dispose used IQOS devices responsibly. The recycling program will turn old IQOS devices into raw materials that will be converted into sustainable products. 

iv. The Customer cannot demand PMFTC and/or AAI for remuneration of the IQOS device being surrendered for the Program.

v. Only one (1) device replacement per eligible Customer. Non-transferrable.

vi. In the event that the Customer has multiple, linked IQOS Devices, the Customer can identify only one (1) linked IQOS device to avail of the offers of the Program. 

4. PMFTC and/or AAI reserves the right to verify the Customer’s and his/her IQOS device eligibility in the Program and disqualify any Customer if there is any evidence of fraud or irregularities in his/her participation in the Program.

5. In order to participate in the Program in any IQOS Stores (physical), the Customer will be subject to age verification process wherein he/she will be requested to submit a valid Government Issued ID before transaction. The following Government Issued IDs are valid as proof of age: Passport, Alien Certificate of Registration, Driver's License, Firearms License, NBI Clearance Card, Philhealth ID, Postal ID, PRC ID, SSS ID, TIN ID, Unified Multi-Purpose ID or Voter's ID.

III. OTHERS 

1. All decisions of PMFTC and/or AAI and its agents in all matters relating to the interpretation and implementation of this mechanics are final, and no objections and/or appeals thereon will be entertained.

2. Customers in the Program agree and confirm the following:

• that you are a legal-age smoker at least 18 years old or above as of the date of his/her participation in the Program; 

• that you have read and understood the terms and conditions detailed herein; 

• that you agree to follow the applicable mechanics of the Program; 

• that you agree to assume all such risks, foreseeable or otherwise, and hereby release and discharge PMFTC and/or AAI, its affiliates and all other persons and entities connected with the Program from any liability for, or any claims that may arise in respect of, any and all property losses and/or injuries whatsoever that you may sustain, no matter how any such property losses and/or injuries are caused.

4. PMFTC will not be liable to the Customer for any taxes, costs, liabilities or expenses that may arise from this Offer.

ANNEX: 

Definition of a Functioning IQOS Device. 

*A device is functioning if:

IQOS 2.4 or IQOS 2.4 Plus
  • No red light on both pocket charger and the holder
  • No broken blade
  • Both pocket charger and holder can be charged
  • Holder has no missing cap

Even if:

  • Pocket charger has loose latch
  • Holder has loose cap
  • Device has cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, paint peel, etc.
IQOS 3 Multi
  • No red light on the device
  • No broken blade
  • Device can be charged

Even if:

  • Device has loose lid
  • Device has loose cap
  • Device has cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, paint peel, etc.
IQOS 3.0 or IQOS 3.0 Duo
  • No red light on both pocket charger and the holder
  • No broken blade
  • Both pocket charger and holder can be charged
  • Holder has no missing cap

Even if:

  • Pocket charger has loose or missing door
  • Holder has loose cap
  • Device has cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, paint peel, etc.
