BALIK BONDS Promotion – Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions for the Balik BONDS Promotion (“BB740”) in IQOS.com on March 13 – April 7, 2023:
1. The Balik BONDS Promotion (“BB740”) is available only for persons who are legal age smokers who are (a) at least 18 years old who would otherwise continue to smoke or use other nicotine products, (b) residing in the National Capital Region and selected municipalities, Philippines (“User”), and (c) have received promo code through our BONDS by IQOS SMS and have signed up for an IQOS trial in 2022.
2. With the Balik BONDS Promotion (“BB740”), BONDS by IQOS will be offering P250 off for the BONDS by IQOS kit. The promo code can be redeemed and applied only once per user.
3. The Balik BONDS Promotion is subject to the GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE OF THE IQOS OFFICIAL STORE in IQOS.com.
4. The promo cannot be combined with other special offers, promotions, or promo codes.
5. Product delivery is subject to our delivery requirements found in the “Product Details” section of the Product Page. The courier will not be able to deliver the User’s BONDS by IQOS device kit and BLENDS™ packs if any of the required documents are not presented.
6. The duration of the Balik BONDS Promotion is from March 13 - April 7, 2023 only or until supplies last. PMFTC/AAI has the sole discretion to extend or revise the duration of the promotion if circumstances so warrant.
7. In case a User from IQOS.com has an IQOS.com account, PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to hold, suspend or block a User’s IQOS.com account due to suspicious, fraudulent or illegal activity.
8. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to cancel, amend or revoke these terms and conditions without notice in the event of fraudulent activity, cheating, a security breach or any anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, an event or disturbance outside of PMFTC/AAI’s control such as acts of God, civil or military events, catastrophes, technical issues/connectivity, pandemic or war. Any changes to the Balik BONDS Promotion will be announced accordingly.
9. All decisions of PMFTC and/or AAI and its agents in all matters relating to the interpretation and implementation of these mechanics are final, and no objections and/or appeals thereon will be entertained.
10. Users of the Balik BONDS Promotion agree and confirm the following;
• that you are a legal-age smoker, 18 years old or above as of the date of his/her participation in the Balik BONDS Promotion;
• that you have read and understood the terms and conditions detailed herein;
• that you agree to follow the applicable mechanics of the Balik BONDS Promotion;
• that you agree to assume all such risks, foreseeable or otherwise, and hereby release and discharge PMFTC and/or AAI, its affiliates and all other persons and entities connected with the Balik BONDS Promotion from any liability for, or any claims that may arise in respect of, any and all property losses and/or injuries whatsoever that you may sustain, no matter how any such property losses and/or injuries are caused.
11. PMFTC will not be liable to the User for any taxes, costs, liabilities or expenses that may arise from this Balik BONDS Promotion.

15. IQOS Stores are operated by ActivAsia Inc. (or "AAI"). IQOS.com is owned by Philip Morris International and its affiliate in the Philippines, PMFTC Inc ("PMFTC"). The online store of IQOS.com is operated by AAI, and all orders are fulfilled by AAI, as an authorized distributor of PMFTC products sold in IQOS Stores and IQOS.com. Deliveries are carried out by AAI or by AAI’s authorized third-party delivery providers. This Balik BONDS Promotion is being carried out by AAI as an authorized distributor of PMFTC products.
Terms and Conditions for the Balik BONDS by IQOS Free Lending in IQOS.com on March 13 – April 7, 2023:
I. PROGRAM MECHANICS
A. What is the FREE TRY BONDS BY IQOS TRIAL OFFER?
1. The FREE TRY BONDS BY IQOS TRIAL OFFER (the “Offer”) allows eligible adult smokers and users of other nicotine products 18 years old and above to avail of the following (i) Get one (1) pack of BLENDS for FREE (ii) use a BONDS by IQOS (the “Trial Kit”) for free during the trial period, and (iii) receive an IQOS Trial Voucher at the end of the trial period upon the return of the Trial Kit.
B. Who are eligible to avail of the Offer?
1. The Offer is open to legal age consumers (“LAC”) who meet the following criteria:
(a) 18 years old and above;
(b) residing within Metro Manila and areas covered by IQOS delivery
(c) who smoke or use other nicotine-containing products who would otherwise continue to use tobacco or nicotine containing products; and
(d) who may or may not have previously purchased any IQOS device (IQOS Originals, IQOS 3 Duo, IQOS 3 Multi, IQOS 2.4 Plus) and may or may not currently own a registered IQOS device in their IQOS.com account.
C. How can LACs avail of the Offer?
1. LACs can avail of the Offer via the following options:
(a) by signing up with an authorized retailer
(b) by signing up at the IQOS.com Try page or IQOS Try Bonds by IQOS Page
(c) by signing up via CSC supported 2-Way SMS platform
(d) by expressing their intent to try through an IQOS Coach or IQOS Retail Sales,
2. The steps to avail of the Offer are as follows:
A. VIA AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER
A. The Authorized Retailer must confirm the age of the LAC via face-to-face verification. In case of doubt as to the age of the LAC, the LAC must present any of the following valid Government Issued IDs (“GIIDs”) as proof of age: Passport, Alien Certificate of Registration, Driver’s License, Firearms License, NBI Clearance Card, Philhealth ID, Postal ID, PRC ID, SSS ID, TIN ID, Unified Multi-Purpose ID or Voter’s ID.
B. The Authorized Retailer shall check the LAC’s eligibility for the offer and, upon confirmation, shall advise to the LAC that he/she will be contacted by an IQOS Customer Care agent to check the LAC’s eligibility and confirm LAC’s agreement to the Offer’s terms and conditions.
B. VIA IQOS.COM TRY PAGE OR IQOS TRY BONDS BY IQOS PAGE or CSC 2-WAY SMS
A. The LAC will be contacted by an IQOS Customer Care agent to check the LAC’s eligibility and confirm LAC’s agreement to the Offer’s terms and conditions.
C. Once confirmed, the IQOS Customer Care agent shall arrange for delivery of the BLENDS packs and Trial Kit to the LAC.
D. Upon delivery, the LAC will be subject to the age verification process where he/she will be required to present to the courier a valid GIID.
E. The courier shall hand over to the LAC 1 BLENDS pack (variant subject to availability) and the Trial Kit. (*Subject to retail price change.)
F. The courier shall likewise present a copy of the Trial Program Agreement and collect the LAC’s signature on the same. The LAC should sign 2 sets of the TRY BONDS by IQOS Agreement and retain 1 set for himself/herself and provide the other signed original set to the courier for AAI’s records.
G. In cases where LAC is not present to accept the delivery, an authorized representative who is at least 18 years old can claim on behalf of the LAC provided the following documents are presented to the courier:
i. Valid GIID of representative for identity check and age verification;
ii. Copy of a valid GIID of LAC for identity check and age verification;
iii. Signed authorization letter stating that the LAC is authorizing the representative to receive the Trial Kit and BLENDS packs and order reference number and to sign the Trial Offer Agreement on behalf of the LAC. The authorization letter will be surrendered to the courier.
H. The courier will not be able to deliver the LAC’s Trial Kit and BLENDS packs if any of the above-required documents are not presented.
I. For deliveries, the courier will communicate and coordinate details, with delivery attempts at a maximum of three (3) times. A fourth delivery attempt can be arranged with an additional delivery fee that will be communicated in advance by an AAI representative/courier and to be confirmed by the LAC.
3. The Offer allows the LAC to use the Trial Kit for seven (7) Calendar days (the “Original Trial Period”) with the option to extend for another seven (7) Calendar days (the “Trial Extension Period”), and/or decide to purchase an IQOS device of their choice.
4. During the Trial Period, the LAC agrees to do the following:
(a) Complete the physical Guided Trial or Virtual Guided Trial within 24 hours from the hand-over of the Trial Kit. In the event that the LAC is uncontactable during the scheduled Guided Trial/Virtual Guided Trial, the IQOS Coach will attempt to contact the LAC within 24 hours from the scheduled appointment date. In case of the LAC’s failure to complete the Guided Trial within the scheduled period or in case the LAC becomes unreachable within 24 hours from the scheduled appointment, PMFTC shall have the right to immediately retrieve the BONDS by IQOS trial kit thru its authorized distributor, AAI. To ensure an effective Guided Trial:
i) In case of a physical Guided Trial, it should be conducted within premises/ locations where use of the IQOS device is allowed;
ii) In case of a Virtual Guided Trial,
1. The Virtual Guided Trial must be conducted on the following video conferencing platforms: Zoom, Viber, Messenger, or FaceTime.
2. The LAC’s video conferencing capability must include access to and availability of internet connection, video conferencing device (mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer) and video conferencing platform.
3. LAC needs to allocate around 20 minutes but not more than 30 minutes for the physical Guided Trial or Virtual Guided Trial session.
4. LAC must choose a conducive location and environment that will allow him/her to use the IQOS device and chat comfortably with an IQOS Coach. LAC agrees to comply with existing laws and regulations in choosing the location/environment for the conduct of the Virtual Guided Trial and ensure that no persons below 18 years old will be able to view the Virtual Guided Trial session and LAC shall not be in locations where smoking/vaping is prohibited.
5. The LAC must have his/her video conferencing device’s camera on throughout the duration of the Virtual Guided Trial. The IQOS Coach has the prerogative to pause or stop the Virtual Guided Trial in case of any potential and actual violations to existing laws and regulations, and if there is confirmed or suspected presence of persons below 18 years old.
(b) Agree to receive a series of communication by way of check-in calls from an IQOS coach within the trial period, as well as SMS, emails to provide relevant information about IQOS;
(c) Handle, use, and safekeep the Trial Kit in accordance with the user guides and manuals contained in the kit. During the Trial Period, the LAC is entitled to the warranty coverage as provided in the “IQOS Care Plus” that comes with a purchase of an IQOS device. If during the Trial Period, the LAC breaks/damages the BONDS by IQOS device and requests for a replacement, he/she should satisfy the conditions outlined in Annex A; and
(d) Contact his/her assigned IQOS Coach if the LAC opts to avail the 7-day Trial Extension Period. No further extension may be made after the Trial Extension Period.
5. At any time during the Trial Period, LAC can express his/her intent to purchase an IQOS device by informing the IQOS Coach during any of the scheduled check-in calls or contacting IQOS Customer Care using any of the contact details listed below. The IQOS Coach shall then arrange for the LAC to return the Trial Kit.
6. When the LAC decides to purchase an IQOS device during the Trial period, or when the LAC finishes the Trial Period, the LAC shall return the Trial Kit in accordance with the guidelines outlined in Annex B. Upon return, the LAC shall be entitled to the IQOS Trial Voucher worth Php 250 of LAC buys BONDS by IQOS or Php 500 if LAC buys IQOS Originals which the LAC can use for the purchase of his/her first IQOS device. If the LAC has any other voucher or discount codes (e.g., a unique code from the Refer-A-Friend program or the Change 10,000 Lives Employee Referral Program), the LAC can choose which voucher to use, provided that only one discount voucher or code can be applied and the use of each voucher or code shall be subject to their respective terms and conditions.
7. An LAC who participated in the Offer but did not decide to purchase at the end of the trial period may avail of the Offer again only after 30 days of the end date of his/her previous participation.
II. GENERAL
1. All decisions of PMFTC and/or AAI and its agents in all matters relating to the interpretation and implementation of this mechanics are final, and no objections and/or appeals thereon will be entertained.
2. LACs participating in the Offer agree and confirm the following:
● that he/she is a legal-age smoker or user of other nicotine products, 18 years old or above;
● that he/she has read and understood the terms and conditions detailed herein;
● that he/she agrees to follow the applicable mechanics of the Offer;
● that he/she agree to assume all such risks, foreseeable or otherwise, and hereby releases and discharges PMFTC and/or AAI, its affiliates and all other persons and entities connected with the Offer from any liability for, or any claims that may arise in respect of, any and all property losses and/or injuries whatsoever that he/she may sustain, no matter how any such property losses and/or injuries are caused.
3. IQOS.com is owned by Philip Morris International and its affiliate in the Philippines, PMFTC Inc. (“PMFTC”). The online store of IQOS.com is operated by ActivAsia Inc. (or “AAI”), and all orders are fulfilled by AAI, as an authorized distributor of PMFTC products sold in IQOS.com. This Offer is being carried out by PMFTC in cooperation with AAI as an authorized distributor of PMFTC.
4. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to modify, change, or revise the rules and mechanics of the Offer.
5. PMFTC (or AAI in coordination with PMFTC) reserves the right to hold, suspend or block an LAC’s IQOS.com account due to suspicious, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
6. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke these terms and conditions without notice in the event of fraudulent activity, cheating, a security breach or any anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, an event or disturbance outside of PMFTC’s or AAI’s control such as acts of God, civil or military events, catastrophes, technical issues /connectivity, pandemic or war. ANNEX A – Conditions if the LAC damages the BONDS by IQOS Trial Kit and requests for a replacement during the Trial Period of the Try BONDS by IQOS Trial Offer
1. Subject to the warranty and replacement eligibility requirements, in the event of product damage during the Trial Period, the LAC may report this by contacting IQOS Customer Care using any of the contact details listed above. A Customer Care agent will assess the reported damage and arrange immediate replacement if deemed eligible. For more information, please refer to www.iqos.ph
2. The LAC will be reminded of the following in order to be eligible for the replacement:
• Verify the identity of the LAC upon delivery
• Submit the defective BONDS by IQOS Device to the courier for inspection, collection and sign the acknowledgement form.
• Verify LAC’s BONDS by IQOS Device is original, not tampered and/or counterfeit
• Verify LAC’s BONDS by IQOS Device matches serial number assigned upon delivery and/or replacement
• The replacement BONDS by IQOS Device will be registered on LAC’s behalf
ANNEX B – Requirements for return of the Trial Kit
1. To return the Trial Kit, the LAC can:
• Inform the IQOS Coach who is assisting his/her 7-day hypercare journey, for the IQOS Coach to arrange for a courier to pick-up the Trial Kit;
(a) In the case that the LAC contacts Customer Care, the Customer Care agent will direct the LAC to contact their assigned IQOS Coach.
(b) LAC should return the complete/the same BONDS by IQOS Trial Kit, not counterfeit and working/fully functioning BONDS by IQOS Device Kit (including the box and accompanying contents such as the BONDS by IQOS device, Charging Cable, Power Adaptor and other BONDS by IQOS kit accessories) to courier/AAI representative.
(c) On pick up/hand over date, completion of check and verification of the courier as to the status of the BONDS by IQOS Trial Kit is based on the checklist provided in Device Return Acknowledgment Form.
(d) Present the signed TRY BONDS by IQOS Agreement
(e) Notification of your intention to return the BONDS by IQOS Device should be coursed through the IQOS Coach with a confirmed scheduled pick-up date or return date within the 7-day Trial Period / 7-day Trial Extension Period.
