Because there is no combustion, IQOS does not produce tar*, ash and smoke. It generates a tobacco vapor that brings you a high-quality tobacco taste experience.

How IQOS technology works?
When you insert a SMARTCORE tobacco stick into your IQOS ILUMA i, the SMARTCORE technology inside your device cleverly heats the stick from its core without burning it. A controlled process, it unlocks the taste of real tobacco and delivers a cigarette-like experience* for up to 6 minutes, or 14 puffs (whichever comes first).
