Can I charge IQOS from other electronic devices using the charging cable?
No, you shouldn't. In order to charge your IQOS device optimally, use only the official IQOS USB power adapter and charging cable for charging and not, for example, the charging cable of your smartphone.
IQOS ILUMA
Only IQOS 3 (IQOS 3 DUO and IQOS 3 MULTI) Charging Cables can be used with IQOS ILUMA, since it hosts a USB type C port. IQOS 2.4 /2.4 PLUS cables are not compatible since they are USB type B.
3rd party Power Adaptors and Cables may cause the device to not charge properly or malfunction and may pose safety risks. Please make sure you are using the Power Adaptor and Charging Cable that come with your device. Depending on how much charge the Pocket Charger has lost it may take up to 15 minutes before a light pattern will appear.
IQOS Originals
You won’t need to because all IQOS ORIGINALS device come with their own AC Power Adaptor and dedicated charging cable.
Always use official IQOS power adaptor and AC Cable. Refrain from charging your device with non-original cable/power adaptor or with a laptop, this may interrupt your experience.
You can use the IQOS AC Power Adaptor from any other IQOS device version to charge your IQOS ORIGINALS device. Please pay attention to use the right cable if considering a cable from an older IQOS device.
USB cables from IQOS 2.4 /2.4+ are not compatible because they are USB A – micro-USB cables.
BONDS by IQOS
Always use official IQOS power adaptor and AC Cable.
You can use the AC Power Adaptor included in the BONDS by IQOS device kit. Please pay attention to use the right cable if considering a cable from an older IQOS device.
Previous IQOS Generations
IQOS 3 (DUO/MULTI)
You can use the IQOS AC Power Adaptor from your previous IQOS devices. But the IQOS 3 DUO and 3 MULTI USB cable has a USB-C port, which is different from the IQOS 2.4 PLUS so please make sure you always use the right cable.
IQOS 2.4 PLUS
No, the IQOS 3 DUO Pocket Charger is not compatible with previous IQOS versions. If you insert the IQOS 2.4 PLUS Holder into the IQOS 3 Pocket Charger, the Holder won’t fit because they’re different sizes. If you accidentally insert the IQOS 3 Holder into the IQOS 2.4 PLUS Pocket Charger, the Pocket Charger lights will start blinking, but the Holder won’t charge. Make sure you always charge your IQOS 3 Holder with the IQOS 3 Pocket Charger.
