Is it normal that the IQOS disconnects several times during the firmware update and must be reconnected?

Yes, this is expected behaviour. During a firmware update, the device is automatically disconnected several times to install the new firmware.
Please follow the instructions to reconnect the device (please reconnect within 20 seconds to ensure the firmware update runs smoothly). In addition, the IQOS may glow white and red. This is normal in the process of updating.
